Rocky Mountain Conservancy and Rocky Mountain National Park will celebrate the second annual Colorado Public Lands Day by hosting a volunteer project in Rocky.
In May 2016, Colorado became the first state in the nation to establish a holiday recognizing the value of public lands within the state. Every year, the third Saturday in May is Colorado Public Lands Day celebrating the significant contributions these lands have to our state.
In addition, Congress has designated May 19th at Kids to Parks Day! This opportunity is open to all ages. What better way to share your love for National Parks with your children, than giving back with them!
Help celebrate our state’s public lands alongside the Conservancy and National Park Service staff by participating in a litter clean-up in RMNP.
All participating volunteers will receive coupons for Rock Cut Brewing Co. Volunteers are invited to join Conservancy staff after the event at Rock Cut to enjoy some tasty craft beer and continue the celebration of Colorado’s public lands.
