Grayback Peak Hike – Sierra Club

Hidden behind Cheyenne Mountain and towering over a wooded valley lies a long ridge topped by Gray Back Peak. Celebrate Colorado Public Lands Day on this moderate half-day, in-and-out trail hike covering four miles which steadily gains 650 feet in elevation. Learn about the Pike National Forest’s Little Fountain Creek roadless area, part of the Wilderness proposed for the Wild South Slope of Pikes Peak. Bring sturdy footwear, clothes appropriate for the weather forecast, water, snacks, and usual dayhike essentials.
This trip is sponsored by Pikes Peak Group Sierra Club, Wild Connections, and Central Colorado Wilderness Coalition. Maximum 15 participants.
