Join Walking Mountains Science Center as we partner with the Town of Avon and other local organizations to celebrate public lands in the Eagle Valley. Hourly, from 11:00-2:00 Naturalists will be taking visitors on hour-long interpretive hikes through aspen forests and streamside communities. Learn about the ecology and animal adaptations of this mountain environment by experiencing the flora and fauna first-hand. Walking Mountains’ staff of Environmental Educators will also be prepared to discuss how they rely on public lands to empower experiential learning and how public lands support their mission of awakening a sense of wonder and inspiring environmental stewardship. Naturalists will also be present at the Town of Avon’s “Ride Avon First” event hosting public lands’ inspired crafts and activities at Nottingham Park.
