Join Nelson Holland, Inclusive Outdoor Recreation Advocate and Aurora TikToker FatBlackandGettinIt, Katie Simota, a Community Organizing Consultant with The Wilderness Society, and other Denver Area Hikers for an inclusive hike on Colorado Public Lands Day! We welcome hikers of all backgrounds! Registration for the hike is first come first serve and limited to 15 people due to trailhead parking and trail capacity constraints. However, we encourage everyone to register to stay in touch about upcoming events and other hiking opportunities!
We will hike to Panorama Point in Corwina Park. This hike is for beginner and moderate hikers, and we encourage people who are looking to learn more about hiking to join us! The hike is 4.1 miles long round trip with 928 ft elevation gain. We will meet at the Corwina Park trailhead (see address below).
During this event, we will also have a group discussion about inclusion in the outdoor recreation and conservations spaces as well as complete an action to help protect public lands in Colorado.
