Hear two stories of outdoor adventure and personal growth from James Edward Mills and Sarah Ortegon, followed by a short workshop to help you tell your own story. Story-telling is a skill that you can use when calling legislators, lobbying them in the capitol, giving public testimony, writing an Op-ed or LTE, or doing any kind of advocacy work. It’s also a tool to help you understand your own story better & express yourself in a way that can make you more understood by others. Join us for an hour and a half of interactive, discussion-based work that will allow you to participate to the extent that you feel comfortable. Walk away with a sense of empowerment and stewardship over our public lands, and the ability to talk more comfortably and confidently about your own relationship to the land & passion for it.
